Lisbet Fernandez-Vina
Vice President

Lisbet is a seasoned and highly creative marketing and public relations executive, journalist, and editor with more than 17 years of experience. As an effective bilingual communicator, she has influenced and motivated multi-cultural audiences while developing strategies, positioning companies, and building brand awareness using traditional and innovative methods. Her solid industry connections with celebrity managers, public relations professionals, and journalists has made her an expert in her field.

Prior to joining LM & Associates, Lisbet applied her expertise to supporting non-profit institutions, serving most recently as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Jackson Health Foundation. In this role, Lisbet was responsible for leading the communications team and overseeing digital and traditional marketing efforts, as well as developing and implementing a cohesive communications plan, which elevated the Foundation's image and increased its revenue and brand awareness with record-breaking numbers. She also conceptualized and oversaw the creation of marketing collateral materials specifically focused on supporting development efforts.

Lisbet also served as Director of Foundation’s External Affairs for Miami Children’s Health Foundation, where she successfully managed an ongoing comprehensive integrated communications plan, which included both traditional and interactive marketing tools while the organization executed its latest capital campaign, Together For The Children: The Campaign for Miami Children’s, which reached its $150-million goal two years ahead of schedule. As the Director of Foundation’s External Affairs, she was responsible for the rebranding and enhancing the organization’s public relations and marketing endeavors, resulting in increased local, regional, national, and international markets. She was also responsible for creating innovative public relations initiatives geared towards raising brand awareness, including Celebrity Ambassadorship Programs and Patient of the Month Digital Campaigns, among many others.

In her previous roles, Lisbet served as Editor-in-Chief of Selecta Magazine, a monthly publication considered the magazine of choice among upscale Hispanics in the United States, and its sister Publication, CasaLife, the official magazine for Casa de Campo Resort, who caters to the crème de la crème of the jet- set world. She joined Selecta in 2007, where she was responsible for the entire editorial content, including the negotiation of exclusive cover opportunities with A-list celebrities, organizing and directing photo shoots, as well as conducting cover interviews for both magazines. During her tenure, she was able to take the magazine to the next level, not only by revamping its editorial content, but also introducing the publication to the social media world, launching the company’s website in 2010.

Before joining Selecta, Lisbet worked for the American Red Cross of South Florida as Public Affairs Officer where she developed and executed marketing and communications initiatives to support the chapter’s mission, including executing its crisis communications plans. Prior to her position at ARC, she was Executive Editor for the regional luxury publication, Lincoln Road Magazine, and Senior Beauty and Fashion Editor for Glamour en Español, a title owned by CondéNast Americas. Her journalism career began at Univision where she worked as traffic reporter for Noticias 23: Al Amanecer, the morning newscast on the local television station WLTV 23. She has also served as radio correspondent for several local stations throughout her career.

As part of her personal growth for the last seven years, Lisbet has maintained a formal mindfulness practice. She is currently seeking certification through the Center For Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts to become a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Instructor. She is also a certified Life Coach.

Lisbet has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism, and a Bachelor degree in English Creative Writing, both from the University of Miami.
